WOORA Interior was established in Tokyo in 2012 by Hana Mori, following a decade of work with leading architectural practices in Japan and Denmark. The name — drawn from the Japanese concept of ura (裏), meaning the inner, hidden face of things — reflects a design philosophy rooted in depth rather than surface. 

From the beginning, the studio has operated at the intersection of two great design traditions: the Japanese sensibility of Ma, Wabi-Sabi, and purposeful restraint; and the Scandinavian commitment to warmth, functionality, and democratic beauty.

Today, WOORA works across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors throughout Asia, Europe, and beyond — a team of eighteen designers, architects, and project managers united by a shared belief that the spaces we inhabit shape who we become.
